Trees are our best friends.

India
June 2, 2018 1:12am CST
Now a days I see trees being choped down everywhere for various household and industrial purposes. Trees are the main and one of the only source of oxygen for human beings and other animals. If we continue to cut down trees like this then I am aftaid one day there is going to be a huge shortage of oxygen and we human beings will be responsible not only for our lives but also for millions of other species living on this planet. I believe we as individuals should take responsibility of this issue and plant more and more trees. If one is cut down, then one should be planted.

That's correct and more and more trees have to be planted whenever we are cutting down.

@SiddharthV I fully agree with you.In our area some students have formed a society and they have planted more than 100000 trees in Temple premises, crematorium, near plants,in school premises and on the slops of a hillock at the outskirts of the town.

I agree that we need to stop destroying our beautiful trees. But we--at least in the States--are also on a self-destructive campaign to eliminate carbon dioxide, or CO2. All plants, including trees, need CO2 in order to live. They absorb the CO2 and produce Oxygen (O2), which humans need to live. If we eliminate all CO2 like the climate change crazies say we should, plants will die and we will, too. Here in America we even have laws regulating timber companies--they have to plant at least as many trees as they harvest. Schools and churches and other organizations plant trees, too. There is even a very affordable urn for human ashes that will turn into a tree of your choosing---

There are huge tree farms in the US where a tree is planted for every tree cut down.
