Does myLot is still useful or beneficial in 2018?

MyLot has been online for a couple of years already, myLot changed their system before to a non-paying site before, until they open again myLot as paying website.
But as for 2018, for new members, Do you think myLot is still beneficial to use? I know I've been in and out on myLot community for years.
Is it late for a new user to join myLot in 2018?

myLot has been online continuously for over 12 years, not just a "couple of years", as you assume! For all but two and a quarter of those years, it has paid its users each and every time that payment was due.
The benefits of myLot are far more than just the earnings, which cannot be considered as more than just a very welcome bonus.

@tech40 myLot began paying its users in August 2006 and continued doing so until the end of April 2013. At that point (or a little before), it changed hands, the interface was drastically redesigned and a number of changes were made to the policy, including closing the earnings program. In July 2015, the original owners regained control and the earnings program was completely redesigned and restarted in August 2015. Since then, the interface has seen one major update which made it automatically adjust to the size of screen any user was using so that the site was much more compatible with mobile phones and tablets.

@tech40 I believe that restoring referral earnings, at least if it were the old system of "25% of your referrals earnings" wouldn't really do anything for the site. It was too generous and did nothing to encourage the kind of quality discussions myLot wants to be known for. A one-off payment for referrals who have been active members for a month, say, might be more appropriate.

awesome, thank you for enlighten me regarding on the changes in myLot but I’m hoping they’ll return the referral earnings since it can attract more active users

it's really up to the members if they want to stay active or not. we have different reasons why we joined and why we stay. it's common for people to come and go here, both new and old members, both in the new and old mylot.

@hereandthere Yeah I noticed that one as well.. Some are just here to make money, and some are here to make friends, just different perspective per user.

@tech40 only a few new users grasp the concept and stay and treat the site as it was intended to be. there are new users whose very first post is: what other sites can i earn from?

I think as far as members are active and mylot is paying, it is beneficial for users.
