CT Scan results.

I went to the doctor yesterday to discuss my CT Scan results. The doctors there are so nice! They actually listen and talk to you there. Unlike the other doctors I have been to who hardly acknowledge you or take you seriously. So I am glad I changed the place I go to now. Some things did show up on the CT Scan but it said there was nothing shown that was related to my pains and sickness that I have been getting. Was just some swelling near my back as well as my "L5" ( part of my spine ) that's a bit weird but it's not causing me issues. Can address these things later on. The only thing that was found in regards to my gallbladder was that my gallbladder wall is thick which could possible be due to it being inflamed / all the gallbladder attacks I've had. But the real answer as to why I've been having pains, being sick and my stomach feeling unforgettable is still all over the place. Some doctors say this isn't related to the gallstones I have while others say it is. The doctor felt around on my stomach and said that it all feels normal. But it feels very tender on the right side of my stomach and near the rib cage. She found it strange how my gallbladder or liver ( or both ? ) cause me such pain yet I don't jump up or scream when they are pushed. Anyway she checked a few things, did a urine test and yet another blood test. I'm surprised I have any more blood for them since I've done a lot thanks to this issue. She also rang my surgeon who I shall be seeing next week. He suggested that the next time I have a pain, to go straight to the doctors or hospital to get an ultrasound for them to catch me in the moment and see how things look. Thank you for reading. I will update you all when I know anything more.

Maybe the gallstones are the answer, I believe it is hard for you not getting a result after so many tests.

@nela13 I am thinking it's the gallstones too. It's the only thing showing as well as my liver being a bit weird.

@VivaLaDani13 When will you have your next doctor appointment? Maybe they will have some news.

@nela13 I am not certain when my next appointment will be. The doctor just said that if anything negative shows up in my tests, she will call me in. Otherwise I will see her sometime after I've seen my surgeon.

Okay but I have a question: Would you be able to make the journey with you being under attack? Its not like its going to give you any warning.

@Daljinder Yeah and she felt around there and I can see what it means but nothing to worry about. Just means fluid around there that makes it look swollen.

@Daljinder I wouldn't be able to do it myself. When the attack happens, I am all over the place. Being still, walking, crunching but most of all being in pain and distressed. I have my dad, brother, Aunty, Sandra, neighbours and Leanne who would help me out for sure. But if all fails, my last resort is calling an ambulance but I doubt it would get to that.

@VivaLaDani13 That's good to know. Berside gallbladder, the swelling they said on the lower spine, did the doctor elaborate on that?

Perhaps the next time they do you a scan it might show up then what is causing the problem. Its nice when Doctors actually take the time to listen to you as you need to feel that they are paying attention to your problems so you can get them solved.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Technically no. I am not having any bloating or pain at this very moment but my gallbladder is not good. As well as it affecting my liver.

@lovinangelsinstead21 oh I agree. There's seems to be a lot of doctors out there who just want you out of their office quickly without really listened to your problems. It's a shame.

I think this is related to gallstones, because I had the problem last year and I also had a horrible stomach problem. I hope they can find the problem and treat you, so you can have no pain.

@LadyDuck I'm thinking so too as family members of mine have had this issue and I've heard the stories of pain being exactly like mine. May I ask a bit more about the pains you've had? I can't remember if I already asked you this. So sorry if I have. Just curious as to the pains you got. Did you ever get pains in the shoulder blades too when your stomach was sore?

@VivaLaDani13 No pain in the shoulder blades, a lot of back pain, I could not even stand, sore stomach and I felt nauseous, I also vomited if I tried to eat something.

@LadyDuck aw ok thank you for telling me. Mine is just a little bit different. Only a little bit to what you felt. What happens to me is my stomach starts to feel really uncomfortable in the middle and it goes to my lower back. Then it becomes more intense like my insides are starting to squeeze. Then my stomach, right side under the rib cage, lower back and right shoulder blade starts to get really sore to the point I can't sit still because they all hurt at once. I get stressed out trying heat packs, hot showers or bath. I also have my body get really hot really quickly. I don't always vomit but I have quite a bit on some attacks but feeling nauseous does happen often. It's mainly the pain on the right side under rib cage that is hard to handle.

I'm sorry the scan didn't actually show the cause of your pain - it must be so frustrating for you to still not know

@jaboUK It is frustrating. It really does seem that my gallbladder is the issue. Nothing else is showing. So I am thinking it's just that and the stones causing me grief.

@paigea Thank you very much. I'm guessing this is all from the gallstones. Seems to be them. Just double checking other things for now.

It's really annoying when you have intermittent symptoms and they can't get to the cause. I've been off work most of this year and have had all sorts of tests which come back with strange results but the docs don't know exactly what's wrong as yet. Personally I think it's partly due to the load of pills I take each day which seem to make things worse. I've got a 24 hour ecg coming up along with a heart echo and scans of my kidneys, liver and brain. Hoping I can have mri rather than ct but i've got a metal pin which may make mri impossible. I hope they get a diagnosis for you soon

@Mike197602 Man I really hope this all comes to some sort of conclusion for you where the issue is found and dealt with! I really wish you well with all the tests coming your way. And thank you. Same to you!

If you have gall stones and attacks, get that thing removed. I did almost 10 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did.

@NJChicaa There's a good chance it will get taken out. It will be discussed with the surgeon. We are all just double checking other things in the meantime. I'm glad you no longer suffer with it. It's horrible!
