Back into the Swimming Pool / myLot

With my current book away with my editor and a decision to take a year's break from serious writing, I now have time to pay attention to my health and fitness. I rejoined the gym a couple of weeks ago and have now made a return to the swimming pool. Those who have known me online a while know when I return to the pool this is a serious decision, involving ploughing up and down the lanes and pushing myself each session. And I love it. So, if you smell a whiff of chlorine coming through from my posts from now on, you know why!

I will wear a mask Val, I have a serious problem with chlorine. Enjoy your swimming sessions.

Honestly, we don't have a swimming facility in my city. I think it is good to increase body's endurance. Enjoy the swimming session, my friend.

I will wait a few more weeks before I attempt my outdoor pool. My dad always had us swimming in August and yesterday our TEMP was a good 28*C so we probably could have had a swim in the 18*C cool water - NOT!

@valmnz Oh Val you’re killing me. I’d love to get back to my old 1 km a day of serious swimming in the pool. Problem is that all the pools are packed when I’m free.

I've discovered a lovely free time about 11.30 am. Usually get a lane to myself.
