I know some people just does not care for their Adli but I love this store, me headed back to vegetarian and Tony loving his fruits its the place to go! I also got staples that will last me a while and they are cheaper there as well. How cheap? Pears - 7 per bag = 2.99 Apples- 9 per bag = 2.99 Strawberries - 1.99 got 2 packs Head of Lettuce - .85 Green bell peppers - 3 per bag = 1.89 Bananas - 3 pounds = 1.23 Avocados - .59 each - got 3 For breakfast : 6 - Yogurt - .35 each = 2.10 Low fat cottage cheese = 1.79 2 - cans of peaches - . 89 each Tony`s lunch/ snack : Pimento cheese spread - 2.99 Kitchen staples : 4 pounds of sugar = 1.79 5 pounds corn meal = 2.69 Canola pol = 1.85 Garlic powder =.99 Instant potatoes = 1.29 crinkle cut fries = 1.65 Total before tax = $34.62 I did not add the tax because here we pay 10% and other states may be more or less. I do not buy any of their meats because I think those prices are elevated and I use the local small store for those, but I did not see a sale this week but Tony had hamburger and chicken already in the freezer. You may not find everything at Aldi that you eat but you can get a lot of it and at a reasonable price. What do you think about your Aldi?

The avocados at your Aldi's are cheaper then at mine. I bought them in NY an they were 99 cents each or a bag of mini ones with 6 in the bag for $2.99. I bought the bag of them. I made deviled eggs with them and a smoothie. I still have 3 left. I love Aldi's they have such great prices. I go there first then whatever else ai need that they don't sell there I go to Walmart.

@andriaperry if you want them to last longer by buying them on sale you can keep them in your fridge it makes them ripen much slower and you can cut them up and freeze them.

We have a brand-new Aldi store just down the street from where I live, but I haven't been in it yet. It's always packed though, so it must be pretty popular.

@andriaperry One of these days I'll have to give it a try! The only problem with our Aldi is that for me to get to it, I would have to make a U-turn to get to the entrance. I know that's not a big deal, but that's probably what has kept me from stopping in and checking it out! lol

Of two Aldi's near me, one is wonderful and the other is a nightmare. My favorite store, though, is Grocery Outlet.

I love Aldi. Am a huge fan. Cant beat their spinach price, 1.49 for a big bag. In fact most of their produce is similarly cheap. My roommate just spent $7 on a bag of apples at Target.

I used to like ours but they started carrying less food and more seasonal and home decor items. But we have a Sav-A-Lot that is similar in price without all the other stuff so I go there.

I like Aldi, and will shop there when in the area. I prefer the German store Lidl which has great prices as well..and a better selection. It has lots of European imports..and you don't have to fool with the carts.
