@akalinus Yes, they are easier to handle and they will look after your computer without worrying about anything.

@akalinus Do they have names too? I heard of some friends who were missionaries in Africa had names of the lizards that used to visit them..

@buenavida I didn't name them. I don't know why, maybe because I can't tell if they are male or female. I think I called one Charlie, a name that could be either feminine or masculine. Who knows these days?

I like lizards when I can see what they are doing but not when they hide away in the house and spring out in the dark as its happened to me more than once and scare the life out of me.
They are nice to watch though outside.

@akalinus
You can find them in the most unobvious places sometimes even in flats they manage to find their way in there too.

@nela13 How big are your lizards? Do they bite? I heard that geckos can grab a dog's lips and hang on. I never saw that happen but a lot of dogs chase them and bark at them. Do your lizards attack dogs? There is a new type here. I think it is called a tegu or something similar. It is very vicious and is an invasive species from somewhere else. Tell us about your lizards.

Looks scary but harmless I suppose. The geckos here are outdoor ones coming out to take in the sun

When I was staying in Florida I would see those lizards around the pool. Like flies if you open the door they can't wait to come inside. We had a large plastic plant they would hide in, lol.

Neat! When we lived in Singapore, 30 + years ago, we had geckos. At first it was weird, but I got used to them and I'd love to see one now. My worst memory was when I was at the table reading and one dropped onto my book. Without even thinking, I slammed the book shut and poor gecko took off minus his tail. That was creepy because it (the tail) fell on the floor and kind of wiggled for awhile.

@popciclecold If they try that, they are gone by any means to get them outside.

very cute. there were several when we first moved in. unfortunately something has happened to them. i think it is because we have had to take such measures to get rid of fleas and ants, etc.

@akalinus obviously it doesn't bother them since you still get them. ours seem gone. but the kids used sprays and such. sad but guess they couldn't think of anything else. years ago i tried the electronic things and they never seemed to work on bugs for me

@akalinus (smiling at you) It's nice to be back on myLot, too!
Well, today I am at home with my eyes barely open... Not the funnest way or reason to skip work, but I guess it works for that.

I don't know if I would like that or not, they say we have them here but I have never seen any.
