Education should be shortened

I really think that our current educational system should be shortened and it's too long, I mean spending 8 years in Grade school and another 5 in highschool plus another 4 in a university that's a total of 17 years, in my opinion 10 years is sufficient enough since education is easier with all the computers and digital media around right?

Our traditional education system was created to address the needs of the Industrial revolution. But now we are in the digital information era and we're educating our children using an outdated system. With the rapid advancement of science and technology who can accurately predict what skills would be needed in 15,10 or even 5 years from now. Yet that is precisely what those in charge of education continue to propose.

I am not really sure what the benefits of the new system are, but I think this can only bring problem since many people even find it hard to finish school with the old system.. now they add some years too

I only wish they'd remove the added 2 years in high school -Grade 11 and 12.

They should put back the old one because k-12 is too long.

I think so too, too many students are dropping out because of the K to 12 system.

I think it needs to be shortened. Our country is not ready for the K12.

that is very true. The K12 program is quite long. But the government decided on this because we have to keep at par with the other developed countries. This is a solution they made, however, the government should polish the Senior High School program because most of the school who are now dealing with this are still at a loss of how to implement this program making it inefficient, not cost effective and waste of time, effort and energy. Accordingly they said that after you finish Senior High, the students have now the option to look for a job on the chosen field (like in other countries). But this is not what is happening. The companies still are not ready for this kind of thing I think and still prefers college graduate.

Nope. It takes time to mature and build character.
