Here comes the bride. But where is the groom?..

. In my job, I encountered many people from all walks of life, of many nationalities, cultures, beliefs , traditions etc.. I have met people who are very difficult to please .. but fortunately most of the people I met were easy and inspiring ... About twelve years ago, a mother and daughter made an appointment to come and see me to discuss designs for wedding dress, bride's maids and the mother's outfit .. I usually encourage brides to come up with their designs and I would normally put in my ideas on what would suit their figures best .. Sometimes , I find it difficult to come up with a design that would suit their figure like this particular lady .. and her mom.. I thought this job will be very challenging .. But I never mind challenge.. After nearly an hour, we all came up with a design that we thought would look stunning on her and bride's maids dresses to compliment hers and a design for the mother... They were both very happy with the designs and the colour motif.. the materials and how much I was gonna charge them.. "I really just want my daughter to feel like a princess on her wedding day.. She is my only child.. my baby ..and I don't care how much we spend as long as she is happy", the mother said, giving her daughter a hug and a kiss... "When is the wedding?", I asked them.. The mother and daughter looked at each other and the mother turned to me and said .. "Actually, we don't know yet . We haven't even met the groom yet. We just want to be prepared for when that day comes".. I was shocked speechless .. for what can you say after all that?.. "But we really appreciate your time.. You have been very helpful.. We love the designs.. And we'll contact you. Keeping our fingers crossed that my daughter meet Mr. Right soon ", the mother said .. I often wondered what happened to that mother and daughter.. I could imagine what must have happened before they came to see me and what happened afterwards..I really would like to write their story with a happy ending .. I'm glad I gave them the sketches of the designs.. I hope Mr. Right arrived .. Bess ................................................................................................. For marriage to succeed, both must dance with the music.. and always remember, "it takes two to tango"..... ..
