Good News From the Doctor

Yesterday was the quarterly check-up at the doctor's office. Things seem to be going relatively smoothly. She was happy that I have things in place to tackle my problems (mainly my back...I start physical therapy next week). The best news from the doctor's office yesterday came when I first walked in the exam room. If you've been to the doctor in America you know that they weigh you before they treat your gunshot wound or heart attack. So the first thing I did was step on the scales. And I've lost eight pounds since February. I'm sure at least one pound had to come from my haircut on Sunday. I posted the good news on my Facebook wall, then begged my friends to be friends and NOT return the weight to me should they find it. I'm not at the "skinny" part in this song, but you can't lose 50 pounds without losing the first 8!

Better cut back on banana consumption:
One of his "more-famous" songs in it's original form, the version on Greatest Stories Live, which I've already uploaded, contains two alternative endings and...

I used that one in the numbers countdown, so I thought I'd let Joe shake his skinny legs.

@FourWalls I did consider putting on 16 tons but all that happens there is another day older and deeper in debt.

@JohnRoberts -- that's what usually happens when you go to the doctor: you get another day older and deeper in debt.

I'm laughing at how you phrased getting weighed as a priority in this country. It's so true. I really wish getting weighed wasn't so much of a priority and more of an option when visiting the doctor.

@FourWalls I guess I am glad I do not live in the United States anymore. I hate scales and being weighed. I do go somewhere and was surprised that I had to step on a scale. I was not prepared at all and was not happy. I hope it all works out for you and the physical therapy helps you.

Just avoid those Cheeseburgers in Paradise and you'll keep that weight off my friend. Good luck with your back I know how it is when you move and feel a funky twinge,
