I have met many from the states who are incredible nice even at work. So this lady comes in with a thick accent. Ok the issue states has lower cost of living therefore everything cost less. How hard of a concept us this. So older lady comes in and as soon as she walked in the door I knew she was a witch. She stars slamming the fridge door and screaming swear words because our cigarettes cost more. Sorry to burst your bubble go back to the states. She kept going on and on about Toronto sells them 2 for $20. Well sweet heart it's called selling illegally and they can be fine $10,000 difference She just could grasp this so I ignored her to serve proper customer. She then spent 20 minutes in the bathroom and destroyed it. ..since she left her debit card on the counter and I was going to tell her when she walked out but with the rude f you out of her mouth. I called the police with her name on the debit card. A few customer were carrying on how those from the states. I go no no no I've never met a rude American minus she being the acception. So cops just flew by here and if the boss wants to charge her guess she won't be coming back to Canada.

I have always met nice Americans. One guy came in months ago and his accent made him sound mad . But this lady told me to f myself before the front door even closed. But always that person who treats cashier badly and it shows how sad their life are. But I had to stick up for Americans when 3 customers said well that's an American for you.

@ricki_911 Absolutely. Just because one or two aren't nice, doesn't mean they all are. Some of my good friends are American.

@dodo19 I have met several and many Canadians who have moved to the States. Not sure why her announcing she was from the states matters on the cost. Like I'd change the price for her... doesn't happen that way.

@ricki_911 Well in general when they are abroad, I can say you can hear them miles away.

Not when they tell me to f myself the minute they met me. Her friend just came back for debit card and apologized. I said that was fine but it's rude of her I wouldn't loose sleep over it. I just won't pretend and smile for them to walk all over me. My friend is currently having a nervous break down after harboring this stress from customers picking on her. I'm not rude or accusing customers like the girl who works weekends. But I'm not being fired or handing free things out to make them happy.

I have American friends here and they are really nice. But yeah, some Americans can really be way beyond themselves.
