Finally got through

I have been promising my sister that I would take her for new dentures for a long time. She has been saving up the money for it.
We will go to an " affordable dentures" place.
Getting through to them on the phone has been like "pulling teeth" but I did finally get through. We will go Friday morning and be gone all day. Hopefully they will take an impression and get them made while we are in Wichita.

It usually takes atleast a day. I've never had dentures but from what family has had to deal with. Of course it could have changed.

They have a lab on site and if she does not need anything else they usually can get done in an afternoon.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I have not decided yet. I may go to a large garden center. I bet she would like to go to one of the parks in the area, and of course there is eating out.There are a couple of malls too.

Yes, as she is not as familiar with this larger city and it represents two hours driving for her, and four hours for me to get it done. I think it also makes her anxious a bit to go beyond what she is used to.

@GardenGerty I can understand the anxiety about places she's not familiar with. That always causes me the same as I tend to get lost easily.

I hope it doesn't take long for her to get them. Pulling teeth, very funny lol. My son in law had all his pulled in one day. He was miserable for a pretty long time, I'm glad your sister has that part over with.

Oh she has worn dentures for at least thirty five years. I know about the tooth pulling, though. Hubby had all of his done at one time. He still will not wear the lower plate he had made new.

They have a lab on site. This is where my husband got his dentures after his extraction. I hope hers goes quickly as she does not need any extractions.

@GardenGerty You are really lucky to have dentures made in one day, nowhere in Europe you can get dentures in less than 5 days.
