Have you ever tried the counting calories method to lose weight

I know consuming so much calories brings about metabolism being slow and in process storing fat from it excess, it been written that if one reduces the calories consumption then reaching a desired weight loss level is possible. Have you ever tried this method?

I am always aware of the calories I consume, but I don't obsess over it. Helps me with weight maintenance to be aware of calories consumed.

No, I haven't tried. I always eat what I want in moderation and no carbo for dinner.

I have before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Now I just have to be careful with what I eat haha So I don't count, I just pay attention to what I am consuming

No, counting calories is a wast of time in my opinion. Especially if you eat out a lot...impossible! I just try to remember that my stomach is the size of my fist and try not to eat more than that amount of food. But, unfortunately I eat more!

It works for me, I think it helps as it makes me think about the food that I am eating. It also helped me to see the certain foods I needed to give up for a big effect.I found a lot of my calories were coming from fizzy drinks.
