All rooms include: Toilet Paper

So I'm looking into booking a room for a few nights for a little summer vacation with my family. One of the sites shows "toilet paper" in the room amenities. I didn't know toilet paper could possibly be an option that isn't part of booking a hotel? What strange things have you come across in looking online for vacations?

On the continent toilet paper wasn't necessarily provided. I learnt to always have some tissues with me. And in Nepal the hotels and boarding houses don't supply toilet paper.

@Daelii I guess after the first time you know to bring your own! I don't know what they'd do otherwise and I don't want to ask!

I have no idea! I know not all places have pools, or internet. Some places don't do breakfast... But I kind of figured all provided toilet paper...

@Daelii Right!! I don't think I could book at a place like that, their just asking for trouble. I have seen what some people do when they have toilet paper....not good!!!

@cintol lol Yeah, one place I booked they only allowed 1 roll per room. You had to give maid the cartoon part to get a new roll lol

Wow, they furnish toilet paper. I guess it must be very rare in that area. Sounds like an exciting place to stay.

I haven't come across anything strange while booking a vacation, but I have come across some strange accomodations while searching for an apartment on Craigslist. There are many people offering "A corner section of their living room, complete with curtain for privacy". All utilities included for $535.00. A 5x5 section of someone's living room??! How you gonna fit a bed in there?!! It's ridiculous what people expect nowadays.

@Daelii I've rented a bedroom in someone's house for that much, but I had my own TV, microwave and fridge....and a door that locked.

Well I guess that is good to know. Maybe they just wanted their list of amenities to seem longer. I would hope that all hotels here provide toilet paper and if not I wonder if they are cheaper or furnish some other form of cleaning cloths. I haven't really looked too much online for vacations lately, so I haven't found any strange things like this.

omg... I didn't even think of reusable cleaning clothes! I would totally book a new room to avoid that!

@Daelii Oh no I was meaning the flushable wipes. But reusable would definitely be a deal breaker.

Swimming pool sounds more normal than toilet paper a hotel amenity. I went to a hotel in Indonesia. On the way someone wrote these beds have flees and bed bugs so check out now. So I asked to change to a different room. I unpacked my backpack and left plastic bags on the floor. Something like rats ran across these bags I imagine.

They must really be scraping for amenities if the TP is featured!

dude, they could offer free breakfast like one place I went to. They listed full free breakfast and the booking agent who called for me (I had to make sure I could get a dairy/milk free meal or at least eggs made to order for my daughter) was told a list of items they served free. So I booked. The "free breakfast" was its free to walk across the parking lot to eat at a completely unrelated restaurant.

LOL, that would not be good if they did not supply TP.

I could see the call now... "Hi! I need some TP in the room" "that will be 5 dollars a roll!"

I would think TP would be standard operating equipment so to speak.

So do I! I've packed baby wipes for the baby but never thought to have to add toilet paper for family!
