noooo .... I'm not going to share some silly thing I've  done, to make you all laugh...,   lol..  that would take too long... lol I was visiting an animal petting zoo,  although zoo was to grandé a name for it...,  it was more like a farm or nature centre... but any way... amongst all the animals and birds and reptiles... ( that I didn't  pet) lol... was a kookaburra... ohhh my what a beautiful Bird... I love most animals... and admire their natural beauty ..., but I was really captivated by this birds good looks... see post photo... I only know three things about kookaburra's... 1. Is a poem I learnt in school. 2. It lives in Austrslia. 3. It has a weird call.. which sounds like someone laughing... Which is what I was stood there waiting for him to do... but he didn't... he sat there stoically posing, while we all pointed our camera's and phones at him... and took his picture.  sooo.. when I got back home I looked him up online,  to find out some more information about him..., and lo and behold... I found a soundbite of his laugh on youtube..,  so,  I thought I would share that with you too...  click on the link below ... Photo not mine...but from Google photos...
This kookaburra is actually laughing, it is hilarious.

I love our Kookaburras. I have heard that each one has a distinct laugh, in much the same way as each person's voice is unique (but I'm not sure how reliable the source of that information is.)

We heard them at our campsite in Tassie yesterday morning. A lovely sound to wake up to.

We heard kookaburras laughing near our caravan park just yesterday. They do this to establish their territory. You've taken a beautiful photo of it.

@sueznewz2 You wouldn't call them a small bird.

@sueznewz2 Well, it's a beauty. I think there are three subspecies of kookaburras. Not all have the blue in the wings. This one was at a campsite in south-west Western Australia.

This bird is very sweet looking and pretty. I love its colourful feathers on his or her wings. I saw a kookaburra in Australia. I loved hearing him or her laugh. It made me laugh as well because it was very funny indeed. Australia's birds delight me. A rainbow lorikeet is very colourful and beautiful. I adore the Port Lincoln parakeet because it is around 28 different colours and it chirps that sort of sound. I really love the rose cockatoo which is pink and grey. The white cockatoos are just as amusing.

I heard them long back in a nearby school. At that time there were many trees around. But, most of them have been cut and the ground is plane now. No birds are to be seen. Everything looks brown only.
