How do people manage to get to the minimum payout every month on sites that pay?

Though I don't set any goals on any of the sites that let me earn, I still want to be able to reach payout if not every month than in the shortest time possible. And when I am not able to do that it is a bit disappointing, especially knowing that it is possible, as others manage to do it on a regular basis. And when people consistently get to the minimum every month on whatever site they are on, I always wonder how they do it... So far this year, it took me two months to reach $5. I thought this streak would continue but it looks like I won't reach $5 when the month is over because I am under $2 right now and the daily earnings are mere pennies. Oh well. It's not the end of the world. Five bucks won't make me or break me. At least I am doing better on HubPages. Takes me three months now to reach $50 and looks like this month I will get there. So, this steak continues for now. With Virily, I haven't even gotten to to the minimum payout of $10 and I've been on that site for many months. But I am half way there. I gotta create more of those quizzes and polls.... And that should help get those earnings closer to $10.

I make payout here each month but if I were on other sites as well I'm sure it would be harder.

It's about persistence and consistency I guess. There are some sites with different earning areas that work better for others than they do for me. I have to try to utilize what works best for me. Here for instance, I try to respond to people I know are more likely to be talkative. I sometimes try to pick topics that I know will be popular. Sometimes they fall flat and sometimes they work out. I ask questions in responses to get people to talk more. Either on my own discussions or those of others. I have many sites I could juggle but I only juggle a few. I use the site I mentioned to earlier the most. I've made a little over a $1.00 thus far there today but I know I could make more.

On some sites you do have to be very active to earn for sure. But then if a person has to be on a certain site for hours and hours then it becomes not worth it to be active so much for a few bucks.

@lovebuglena That last sentence is a bit of a matter of opinion. I agree it can be monotonous but I still feel it's worth it. Sometimes it's more about the goal (Saving, Purchasing, Gifitng) than it is about the process.

@ScribbledAdNauseum For those for whom a few bucks goes a long way that is a different matter.

The question is how much time is necessary?

Interaction. Spend a day or two replying to others posts, get a conversation going.

I try to log on every day to post a discussion, respond to notifications and to read and respond to what others have posted.

We need to spend much time on the sites. Being so active is challenging for me.

Not on all sites. On HubPages, I already have a lot of things published and they earn me passive income. So I am not publishing anything new there as of late and I still earn and much more than here.

Hi Lena. Here, I may be here most of the day but usually I just respond and comment and do notifications after.

I do notifications first and then I either leave something on others' discussions first and then write my own discussion, or the other way around.

Lately with everything going on it is really hard to be here as much as I would like. With also selling online and delivering food with Uber Eats, etc sometimes my time online is very limited. But hey I know in time I will reach it again and it will be worth the wait.

I wonder why too, because for sure I'm not able to meet payout for I just started rejoining here a few days back. I suppose if one has the ultimate drive, they could. But that will also consume too much time though.

I want to try posting at least 3 discussions in a day. Rarely do that. Usually one or maybe two.

@ihasaquestion I haven't tried yet. The most I did recently was two posts. Can't say it helped much.
