Well, it's that time now, my daughter and grand daughter arrived from Colorado last night with their 20' moving truck and all their belongings. I think my daughter cried for a straight 30 min and my grand daughter just kept hugging me telling me how happy she is to finally have me back. It feels so good to have them here with me again and know they are safe and everything will be ok now.
Today we unloaded the truck, and lets just say there is no walking room upstairs for a while. This is now two households in one here. We will make it work though and everything is going to be alright. She will start looking for a home in the winter when the prices go down and she can get a deal and then, we will move her again. Lord help my back, lol.
I told her last night, "yeah your happy to be here now but in a week we will be fighting" lol, she replied with "no, give it at least two wks" haha. We know each other so well.

@cintol I think that is the most important thing is to just have everybody know what is expected. I did have to remind my son in law once in a while to clean up after he cooked but that was about it.

Thats nice that they were with you for so long and no arguments, I want kids like yours. Mine are very independent and and already set in their ways, they know everything and I am just the old lady that owns the house!! No, they aren't disrespectful to me or anything, they just can't let anyone tell them how to do anything, especially parenting. We will make it through fine, just have to get through the initial housewarming and presenting the rules lol

@BelleStarr Yeah, my daughter loves to cook but doesn't like the clean up after, she likes to wait till morning. Moms not like that, I need it cleaned up after dinner ! She will learn lol

It takes patience to combine a household, but it can work out.

It is hard to live with others as adults. We become stubborn in our ways and start bickering. I am sure you guys will do fine and will each try your best not to get on each other's nerves lol. I am glad to hear they arrived safely and everyone is doing well right now!

Thank you so much, yes she and I tend to disagree a lot, tonight was one of those and she has only been here for 3 days now but I kept my cool and we discussed which is good for her as well. We will get through it, she is just a control freak so she wants to make all decisions and sometimes forgets this is my house and she needs to compromise.

I'm so happy for you that you have your daughter and granddaughter safely with you now, even if it is only temporary! This is a great opportunity for them to get that fresh start they so desperately need. I hope everything works out well for her and she can rebuild her life! And just remember, it wouldn't be a family if there wasn't some arguing going on in the household! lol

Thank you Jeff, she is already on her way to a new life. She has a job interview with the county next week, contract on her house in Colorado and is already forgetting what he did. They are happy to be with us and looking forward to their new lives. Your right, it wouldn't be family without a little arguing and we have that lol

Yes, I love them dearly and am just glad to have them here with us, they will get their own home in this housing area by us once her house sells in Colorado. Right now we are just trying to make room in our house for her the household of stuff she brought with her. Oh Lord give me strength because this body is running out of steam!!!

Ohhhhhh, don't jinx me Jelly!!! lol We are fine together for a while but she will need her own place within 6 mths or so and they will live in the same area as us, probably within a few blocks so we can all walk back and forth.

Not sure why they've moved in, but sounds like there's plenty enough love to make it work.

She was so lonely when I moved from Colorado that she couldn't stand it without me and then she caught her fiancee cheating on her after 7 yrs so she left him and moved to Texas with us. As soon as her house in Co sells she will be buying one here but living with us until then.

I might but when my husband and I moved here it was the first time we lived alone in 15 years so it was nice to have a little quiet, however, I really do enjoy the hustle and bustle of kids around
