The Khasi people, who number about 2 million in India's north-eastern state of Meghalaya, carry on the matrilineal tradition. The youngest daughter inherits, children take their mother's surname, and men go to live in their mother-in-law's house when they get married.
I wish to know if there is any other matrilineal society in the world.
