Good Morning One And All

How is everyone on this wonderful, glorious day? The sun is shining, I got a good night's sleep, and all seems right with the world. At least with my little world.
What is everyone doing today? I will be writing, reading some history about the Civil War and it's time period, and I think I may even watch a show or two on TV.
I would sit outside for a while but the temperature is going to be in the lower 90's and the humidity is supposed to be close to 100. That's much too hot an humid for me. I will be inside enjoying the air conditioning and a nice hot cup of coffee.
I hope everyone will have a wonderfully comfortable, not so hot, day.

I'm watching some storm clouds roll in here. That'll make everything like a sauna after they go through.

@JohnRoberts -- actually, yes. He's being sent to Louisville for a rehab start. As Slugger Field sits not too far from "Spaghetti Junction," I'm anticipating a lot of insurance claims for damage to cars from baseballs flying out of the park.....

@HazySue That's right Susan, I keep forgetting that you are near Ocala. We're getting the same weather just up the road in Gainesville. Living in the interior of Florida is the worst. Everybody on myLot thinks all of us who live in Florida live on the beach, and they can't understand why we're complaining about living here! haha

@moffittjc I know what you mean. All of my husbands relatives think we live on the beach, they aqr3e up by the Canadian border. They want to trade places. I would if they would.

I read somewhere that the north could not have supported itself without the lush ag lands of the south @HazySue and I also know that a lot of southerners did not have slaves because they were too expensive to support. I know my dad's family didn't have any back then, they weren't rich enough.

@rebelann The south was known for their use of slaves even in some of the poorer homes. I know that not everyone had slaves but through the years the southerners were known as slave owners and the North was the side that helped free them. Nothing is ever all bad or all good but I do know that not everyone in the North hated slavery and everyone in the south owner a slave. In my own personal little world I feel no one has the right to own another person but I am still absolutely fascinated with this period of time.

It was nice yesterday. Nicer/warmer today than yesterday. Clouds have rolled in, so looks like rain, but I doubt it will do anything. The forecast is calling for spots of showers over the area, but none of it falls on Green Bay. Go figure. We could really use a bit of rain, a day's worth of non-stop steady rain would be good.
Are you writing a book centered on or around the Civil War? It should be interesting. I watched a bit of TV yesterday too, as well as working on my latest book project - Wilderness Challenge. Also a finished novel.

I have gathered quite a bit of information to use for a book centered on the Civil War time. I have even decided on a storyline but for some reason I got stuck. To tell the truth I set it aside to let my mind take over and apparently it was a good idea. Lately I have been writing notes and ideas that pop into my mind at the strangest time. I think I was trying to concentrate on it too hard.

Today, the 12th of June is our independence day but I had to wake up early for my 7:40 teaching class. I slept before 11pm last night with a heavy head as I was suffering from a cold. I woke up still with that heavy feeling in my head but no more running nose. I do plan to stay at home all day, but something is telling me to go to the mall, but I think I better stay at home.
