How Does MyLot Knows That One Of Its Member Is Dead?

Sounds very depressing. But today, I tried to read the discussions of one of my favorite Mylotian and failed to see any activity since December 2017. Suddenly, something pessimistic thought entered my head, which resulted in penning down this this discussion. Kindly pardon me if I have hurt anyone's feelings. But do put in your views about the same, please.

I've also already thought of this. None of my real life friends knows about myLot and my husband isn't into computering. Btw, I like the term 'Mylotian'. :-)

Thank you for your response! BTW my next discussion will be on these two terms! Please do not disclose this idea on mylot! (Ha Ha). If I have coined the term 'Mylotian' - I should be prized!!! (joking)

Some members have busy lifestyles and do not come back on myLot or find myLot is not worth their time/interested in anymore. But also some can too pass away (some are friends with them outside of myLot like Sharon mentioned).

When My Lot changes it can make a lot of members stop using it. I heard that it was great again so I came back to My Lot last month. I feel so happy that many members are still on My Lot. Sometimes a person is too busy to go onto My Lot which is probably what has happened here.

I think that is one of the reasons for a Mylotter/Mylotain to be absent on Mylot.com. BTW nice to see you once again!!!

Yes, that is the truth. But some solution should be available.

It's sad when we learn one of our own has passed on. Those who have connections to the person outside myLot let us know when that happens. One such member passed recently in the last couple months.

Yes, only outside connections will increase our knowledge.

I don't think that there is a way to know it. Unless a family member updates us here. Like on other social media sites where they can update everyone the passing of a relative or friend.

That sounds correct. Some of the relatives have to update the status.

Yes, that happens in its natural mode. But who are not friends on FB or Twitter??
