Now I Am Left Wondering

After reading @just4him discussion I am now wondering if I am the only female here that uses cuss words. I am sure I have never hidden the fact that I do cuss and that I have been know to chuckle at a naught joke or saying. And yes I am a sinner, I am also a Christian that talks to God daily, some days all day. I ask every morning for God to guide my ways and words. I will still post about how we got th elderly ladies things settled and I took them to look for a social worker. Hoops, lots of hoops we jumped through today. How was your day? I am curious about the cussing thing though.

I was raised in a home were cussing was strictly forbidden and no we were never religious at all. I think my mother was just someone who finds it disgusting especially for a woman. Probably she wanted us to grow up as ladies and ladies don't cuss they say.

@andriaperry Yeah it all depends on the environment where we grew up. I have two brothers and two sisters. Cussing was just something unacceptable in the house. Now I have a 14 year old boy and he has never cussed at all. Though I didn't tel him ti was a bad thing to do. I guess it's because he doesn't hear it in our house and their school also educated them that it's something not good.

@marlina But you still end up cussing anyways. But not for us.

@toniganzon , Same here, no cussing in our house. Our parents were extremely strict on this topic.

I don't usually curse but my mother could cuss the ears off a billy goat. That's probably why I don't.

Oh I would never have around my mother, she would slap my mouth. Now my dad, he would shake his head, if he heard me after I got started.

@andriaperry We heard so much cursing I'm surprised neither myself or my siblings do it.

I do not often cuss, and I do not do so online. When I find words slipping out at home I know I need to cool off, eat, or nap or something. I do not often actually feel pain as pain, but language is sometimes my "symptom" of discomfort.

We're more alike then you think. I can swear like a trooper also, and really have to watch myself. Must be that July 20th thing happening to the 2 of us again.

I can make a sailor blush if I want too. I have had to back track and rewrite some things here. It would have sounded better the way I would have said it but I did not want it deleted. My day was pretty good.

@andriaperry Yes understood, but there are people who just cuss everyday. I do when needed, or when I'm upset.

There is a filter here that stops us from using some words. I imagine people have gotten in the habit of not using those words or else using alternative words. Of course what people "type" doesn't necessarily depict how they speak in real life. I cuss a lot but I also use alternative words.

@andriaperry I understand that. I use more colorful language with family and friends that I do with distant relatives and perfect strangers. I am not above cussing in public but wouldn't do so while conducting business. I don't go to church but I definitely would not do it there.

This reminds me of when I was nine years old I heard on older guy using the F word and I excitedly went home and shared it with my mom. I can still remember the look on her face and the lecture I got. No I don't cuss and no one is allowed to do so in my presence, but to each his own.

@andriaperry I chuckle every time I remember it and that is also funny with your niece and nephew - after the shock of it sunk in.

That is funny, once a great niece and a nephew that were 3 and 5 were playing and the 5 year old came and told on the 3 year old for cussing, his mom said " what did she say?" he said " F you and his name." he was so mad she had said that to him, It was funny but we didnt laugh till after.

I swear a lot haha! I have done it from a young age, not around my mom of course and I still have issues swearing when I am around her. But she has opened a bit more around me. I honestly don't think swearing is a bad thing, like they are just letters to form a word. What if giraffe or napkin were curse words? It just happened to be those letters formed together to enhance a sentence.

I have been chastised many times for my "unladylike" tendancy to curse excessively. I even like to make up my own curse words to add to my colourful language. There's a time and a place for everything, I choose carefully where to let loose my mouth

I would describe myself as a "casual cusser." It is not usually how I express myself, but it does creep into my conversation from time to time. If I am mad..or frustrated about something, it is more apparent.

You know even when I was not alone I cannot remember the last time I used a cuss word. Not that I am a saint or anything I just make up words to put in place. For example, when I went to high school and things went wrong I said fudge instead of cuss words. Lately, it's been like anything hard upsetting me I express the fact that it hit the fan instead of using the obvious word. If I had to, as they say, I could cuss like a sailor but I don't have to.

I was one of the most severe cussers in my generation when I was younger. I made a conscious decision to cut those words out of my vocabulary and have done a good job. Sometimes they like to sneak back in, but I always catch them before they are uttered...unless I am alone and no one else can hear me...

I'm new here, so new that this is my very first post; read and replied to. :) Anyway, I work in nursing and my day was sh*t. Literally and figuratively. I do tend to cuss, often times way more than I should. Today I swore a lot, mostly in my head but the naughty words were definitely flowing. And thus, every f bomb was totally justifiable!
