Just One of THOSE Days

Hello! I'm back at my desk. My work was just interrupted by a fire alarm evacuation of the building. Yeah, it's been one of those days. Here's how it started: there was a rollover crash on the interstate, which had the on ramp to that interstate blocked. That meant everyone detoured to the street I work on. And, man, was traffic backed up. To give you an indication: The interstate is two miles from my worksite. I took the "back route," cutting through subdivisions that have speed humps, stop signs, and all of the other trappings of a subdivision (such as a 25 MPH speed limit) instead of dealing with the traffic on the main thoroughfare. When I left the main road there was a school bus and a plumbing company van next to me. I got to the office, sat down, and began checking my e-mail. Five minutes after I got here, the bus and the plumbing company van made it the two miles to my intersection. Wow, that's some backup. Then the fire alarm went off. Oh, and we have a flash flood watch with another rainy afternoon forecast. It's just one of those days. Monday came a day late this week. Funny PS: I was sitting in my car, waiting for the all-clear, this song came on my iPod:

Oh, is it!! I had to leave more due to the noise hurting my ears than fear of a fire!
