Helped a Poor Tribal Girl Get into Higher Secondary

Yesterday, I managed to get Suniya, a Santhal tribal girl in Class Eleven. Her marks are poor in the Class Ten Board examinations (Madhyamik). However, she has been given PASS certificate from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. Coming from a family where no one has been through a high school, this is an improvement. The school was kind enough to admit her in the arts stream, which is thought to be easier than commerce and science streams. There will be fewer subjects to study too. I hope, her grades will be better in the higher secondary classes.At the same time I must inspire her to work harder to improve her grade.
