Raining, Flooding

Hello everyone. I wake up early today to prepare for the day. The rain last night poured heavily in our place and more so in other areas. Expectation wise, there will be floods and worst scenario there will be suspension of classes. And I am right, at 5:00am I turned on the TV to watch news and one by one the city mayors announcement came. No classes today due to flooding (in some areas), heavy continuous rains. It is a good thing announcement came early. I would not prepare my son's lunch and snacks. Have a good safe morning/afternoon/evening to all.

So that flooding was yesterday. But I heard on TV while eating breakfast that classes are suspended again because of the floodsa. Were you affected again? Where are you in Metro Manila?

@rakski So, how is the flood there 3 days ago? I suppose by now it has subsided already?

Actually we weren't affected at all by the flooding. But the other areas are still flooded because of the continuous rain yesterday and last night. An hour or two ago, there is a bit of a sun, but now the sky is dark and heavy

what part in the capital city do you live? i hope the flood id not due to the overflow of garbage from those 'esteros' but due to... just over-pouring of rain water.

fortunately we do not have floods near our house. But in some areas of the cities, for sure there was or still is flooding because the rain last night was non stop and heavy

@ridingbet not so brightly here but an hour or so ago, there is a glimpse of sun you can see but now as I type this (11:55 to be exact), the sky is again dark with rolls of thunder.

Glad it seems a clearer day right now here. There's a lot of suspension of classes that I've read, Oh, maybe the proposition to move classes during non-rainy day season are good for the sake of education.

@rakski Nonetheless, it will cover two non-rainy days month. I know summer is a great vacation but what if we'll sacrifice vacation in the name of education.

I'm glad that flood isn't happening in our place, that would be trouble some and annoying getting rid of water.

I guess that also means you won't be able to do your laundry, since you wanted a sunny day. I hope everyone is safe there from the flooding.

@rakski Non stop rain irks me, especially during the summer. I just want to be outside. But I guess the trees, the flowers, and the veggies growing need some water. Oh well.
