BAD COMMENTS?” I had noticed that some mylotters are quite sensitive when reading bad comments. Either way, they felt bad for not agreeing with their opinions. In my own perspective, myLot is a platform to discuss something and give personal opinionated principles. “Can we conceal others for not showing sympathy?” If we do this, it means we are violating the ‘freedom to express oneself.’ In some situations, these people will just have a super punch of the ‘block’ button. For me, I don’t mind what mylotters will say. However, it should be in a professional way or not below the belt attack. “How do you feel when reading bad comments to your posted discussion?” “Are you a sensitive person?” Image Credit: pbs.twimg.com

While people are relatively polite and don't get into personal attacks, I don't mind people disagreeing with me. We can't all think the same.

I agree @JudyEv to your statement. Our flow of thoughts is not identical. It wasn't also good if being patronized.

I'm not sensitive to bad comments, but I find that I get misunderstood in some of the comments I leave that sets the person who misunderstood my meaning on a rampage.

It depends what you mean for "bad comments". We are free not to agree and to express our opinion, we are not free to offend the other users.

I am referring to offending a person in an aggressive way. Things that are not acceptable in persuading others and not respecting the opinions of others.

Everyone has their right to disagree whenever they find the other's idea or opinion is on the contrary of what they believe in, but it doesn't count,it is foul, if you are creating such a bad impact to one's emotion. You might drive this person into lack of self-confidence or worst, he/she might leave mylott. All of us has our right to be respected and treated well. Some of us has a very sensitive feeling and others has a strong personality. So let's be more friendly whenever giving feedback on other's discussion.

*DE taps his chin while thinking very hard.* No, Shavkat, I am not sensitive about things people say, as long as they all agree with everything I say 100% of the time. (That isn't bad, right?) I have seen people (we call them 'white knights') who think to defend others against attack even when the comment was not an attack. Thank goodness most sites will delete the account of a 'white knight' now. I was attacked by a white knight on one site I use when I was teasing an offline friend. I told the person that I was talking with my friend and no white knight was needed. Then the white knight became angry for calling him a white knight! He said he just wanted to help his 'friend'. I ask when and where had he met my friend. He told me he didn't actually know him. I explained that was the definition of 'white knight'. The site deleted his account right after that. SMH!

@Shavkat Yes, the site is still extant. It is called Wattpad. It is a site where you can write anything you want. Most people write books they hope others will read and maybe buy if/when the author publishes it in real life. If you go there, watch out for some guy named 'DaddyEvil'. He will talk to you about what you're writing and maybe tease you about parts of your story! (I dislike him! He makes me giggle all the time!)

I tend not to be overly sensitive. There are some types of comments that warrant a response, others that do not, for whatever reason, in whatever context, and in whatever manner is felt to be appropriate. But you are right. Some discussions may be on sensitive subjects and some people are going to take either the discussion or the comments one way or the other, good or bad. But we should all be able to express things as we choose.

@Shavkat I once had someone tell me here that my mom didn't really have dementia because she was too young. They told me I should take her to a doctor. I could not believe the audacity. Did they think we randomly decided she had dementia, that she hadn't seen dozens of doctors and had dozens of tests? And he's telling ME what is and is not possible for my mom's health can be? I was really respectful to him when I replied, and looking back I'm amazed I had the ability not to impatient with him. He was terribly ignorant.

@AmbiePam This kind of person is a typical all-knowing character. I had encountered a woman who claims she is better than me. The topic is about superficial burn and I gave my professional advice. I humbly say that I am in the medical field. This woman questioned my credibility and wanted to prove it. That's so arrogant and ignorant at the same time.
