Raccoon Tenacity

I have about 18 raccoon's that come to visit daily and I've seen several; even very young ones, climb some of my 40-foot and taller trees. Nothing compares however to the viral video of a raccoon climbing the 25 story building of the UBS Tower in Minnesota. Now mind you, that's 300 feet of cement straight up. He finally reached the top at 2:30 in the morning and I'll bet he was one very tired rackie (as I fondly call them). These little cuties have very sharp claws (just ask me) but it still amazes me that he could climb that cement wall. Fortunately he was captured and later released after eating some cat food (which they love).

@nanette64 What does bull-headed mean with these animals? How do they show their bullheadedness?

@MALUSE Extremely stubborn. If they don't like what you're doing (like petting them); they won't hesitate to scratch or bite.

Only if you start out with them when they are very young @MALUSE . They are very bull-headed otherwise.

I can't believe they can climb so high. What exactly was the raccoon climbing the building trying to do, I wonder?

I think he accidentally found his way into town and all the noise, traffic & people scared him @redurnet .

I read this story yesterday and found it amazing he got up there. But there again is an example of the lengths humans will go to for an animal that he was safely rescued.
