Parental control apps

Wow, 2 posts in one day, I haven't done that in years. lol
My question is about parental control apps (FREE) for an android. I am more concerned about my son using his phone all the time rather than where he goes, (though that wouldn't hurt either) but I don't know what to look for or how to use an app like this.
For example, do I download the app to my phone and/or his? And what is the best FREE app out there? I am sharing a link to one I found, but I have no idea what I am looking for so any input would be appreciated.

I will download the app if it does its work.My granddaughter spends too much time on smartphone too.

I haven't had a chance to download it because my son got into trouble and his phone taken away.

@changjiangzhibin89 He's 16 and thinks he can do what he wants. However, after this last episode, he realized we are not going to put up with his behavior and he is doing better.
