Has anyone heard of this book? It might ne a local publisher but I am very glad to have picked it up. Not many books are published from a 911 operators point of view, surprisingly since its such an important job. This book goes through the authors tumulous and troublesome adolescence, experimentations with crack cocaine, and finally her timid entrance into the world of 911. She goes through many of the woes of training, some of the heart breaking calls she takes and dispatches, the less than desirable interaction with some difficult coworkers. How PTSD can be acquired in this job, how it affected her personal life. I read this book in 2 days. Sorry if my review is not that great. I enjoyed this book a lot though and really gave me some insight. Another cool aspect of this book is it islocal to me, she didpatched in a suburb about 20 miles away from me. Have you read anything good lately?

No, I haven't but that sounds like a really good one. We never get to know their side of the story.

Exactly. Cops, investigators and even victims seem to publish way more books than dispatchers. Now I want to read more! Are you an avid reader?

Sounds like a very interesting book. I watch a tv show called 911 and it takes a lot to be a 911 operator. I could never do that job
