Why hate tech?

don't understand why i keep hearing people say how much they hate technology. The leaps and bounds we have made to make lives better through technology is outstanding, from simple things like finding good sources through google to 3d printers making prosthetics completely customized to individual people AND animals. On top of that progress, the internet helps spread an abundance of information through things as simple as articles, how-to videos, and chat rooms across the world to free classes on almost any subject, free documentaries, and websites that will link you to sources if you need help. Free language classes can be taught by native speakers without having to travel. Free tutors willing to help teach almost any subject. Almost any information is available through the internet. Literally, any subject can be explored and learned about. Without the internet, this information could be a lot harder for the average person to get a hold of. Some subjects may even be extremely difficult to learn about, such as languages, sexual education, and certain religions. I have been to several libraries when i was younger, both public and school libraries. They had absolutely no information on certain subjects. Anything related to certain religions, sexual education, and a vast array of other subjects was nowhere to be seen because they could not afford the books, nobody had donated them, or they didn't think they were important enough to take up space. Not to mention that online I have met more diverse groups of people and been able to learn about their cultures directly from individuals, instead of through a rich traveler or a filtered text book. I have also been able to stay connected with family members that I would not be able to even talk to, if not for the internet. There is an abundance of support groups full of people from across the world, for almost anything from mental illness to addiction to loss. A ridiculous amount of information right at your fingertips waiting to be found. Why would someone hate something that spreads such an abundance of free knowledge and connectivity? Why would someone have an issue with something that is improving the condition of life overall?

Welcome to myLot. Enjoy the site! The first step for all newbies is to read the Guidelines to learn what is allowed or not on the site. Then you can write a post introducing yourself. Tell us a bit about yourself. Furthermore, read around as much as you can, Like and Comment on other members' posts. Only then will members come to your site and do the same. This is called interaction. Don't expect too much money-wise. If you reach $5 a month (the payout limit), you can call yourself lucky. **Please add the name of your country to your account page.**

The only reason I hate tech right now is because my cell phone keeps saying "storage full" even though I deleted many old photos and some text threads, but it still keeps saying storage full and it isn't working at all. And my laptop says I need to replace the battery, which is almost impossible to find, even Dell isn't selling them anymore. So I have to take a chance and buy one off of eBay. As of right now, tech is failing me. Maybe it's a sign from the Universe to take a break. Like a mental vacation from all techie-stuff for a while..

You just told us how all your photos disappeared. It is all the problems caused by technology that makes us hate it. It is all the things we cannot understand. It is the trolls that tell us that there is something wrong with us because their stuff always works perfectly. It is the days that the internet comes and goes or bumps you off when someone else gets on. It is the days you want to run outside screaming because life used to be simple and you want to find it again. I love online writing and do not miss the days of erasing and whiteout fluid, or carbon copies with smeary carbon paper. I do not miss card catalogs and volume searches for hopelessly outdated material. So yes, I love technology and yes I hate it too.

Technology like all other things have pros as well as cons. Some people see pros while other see cons

I agree to you, technology has done so many great things to us. But i also understand why some doesnt like it, it could be use to spread hate or anything violence, truly depends on a person which side they take to believe in.
