They Got It Wrong

Our weather for today was supposed to be in the 80's. It never got over 60. Not only did one station get it wrong, they all did. The funny part is they all say they are the most accurate weather forecast. The only thing they got right was the rain. When I checked the forecast just now, they're predicting 91 for tomorrow and 93 for Sunday, with rain the entire weekend into Monday. I won't say boo to rain, as we need it pretty bad. We've been dry for at least a month.
Right now I'm sitting with my hoodie on and the heater on in the office with the door closed, but I just might be going to take a nice hot shower as I'm freezing with this unexpected cold snap. It makes me wonder if we're going to be warm tomorrow too, or if we're going to have more of the same.
It amazes me that when I see the forecast, they are still saying a high of 81 for today. Makes me wonder when that's going to happen as it's already after 5, almost 5:30. The hottest part of the day is already past.
In good news, my friend dropped off Thread of Evidence, so I'll be getting back to it, but I'm going to wait until Monday before starting into it again. I also went to see the Chiropractor this afternoon. I have a pinched nerve, which is causing all the trouble with my leg. It's not completely fixed, but it does feel better, and I just might be back in the pool on Monday. At least I hope so.

@BelleStarr Yes, it is. I noticed we got up to 74 yesterday, after the sun came out. Today we have heat advisories with temps in the 90's and a heat index in the 100's. Crazy weather.

Yay! I am glad you got some help with tthe leg.
They don`t get it right her either they said 85 and its 95 herre.

I'll know when I get into it. I knew when I handed it over to her, that there was still work to do with it. She did tell me she thought it was a good story, with issues, meaning it needs more work. Hopefully, I'll have it ready to publish by the end of July.

Our thermometer on the back porch is hovering around 67 degrees. According to the forecast we received, it's suppose to be up in the eighties today and the low nineties tomorrow, Sunday. I will believe it when I see it! LOL I was darn cold, all day Friday!

We got up to 74 when the sun came out after 5 p.m. Otherwise we were in the 60's all day. Yesterday it was supposed to be in the 90's and only reached 82. Today, we're supposed to hit 93. It was already 72 when I got up at 4, so I think we'll hit the 90's today.

@just4him It's suppose to get in the 90s here, also. It was already feeling humid this morning, which means our weather man might have been close, this time.

@rebelann I have all my ceiling fans on and the a/c on in the car when I'm driving in it. If necessary, I'll turn on the A/C in the apartment. It might be necessary today, though I'm not planning to be home much. Today the heat index will be 95-100 with 100% humidity. Temp - 93. Since it was already in the 70's when I got up this morning at 4, I have no doubt this time they got the temps right.

well, i think that is why they call the office as "forecast" is because they are not 100% certain about the weather.

@just4him that is what some newscaster err here. they are disappointed when the weather forecaster says we will have a typhoon and it shines so brightly. they say the forecaster should be terminated from his job.

I know how you feel since the Weather Channel as well as the local television station which in KPLC News said it was supposed to rain heavy in our area. All the city received was some light rain.

In the very early hours of the morning, I had to vacuum the pool. It could not be put off. It was freezing. I had a jacket on, and it was still freezing. It is a huge pool. I have to watch the weather very carefully. There is one job I will not do in the rain and that vacuuming the pool. Everything else will and does get done in the rain...if necessary.

@just4him But they did get me a new bag for the motor head. Before I had to change the bag like every 11 minutes. That could take me three hours just to vacuum the pool. However, it is huge pool. Now, it takes less time. I pray that God will help me with it, and He really does. I am so thankful.

Hubby and I are inside for a minute or two for a beverage break. It is getting close to 100 here this week, no rain, evidently. He is using the big mower. I am doing some plant and flower type work and neither one of us needs to dehydrate. I would happily send you ten or so degrees any day.

I'm sorry it's so hot there. Did you not know I prefer cooler weather. I'm not complaining about how cool it is, just the fact the weather people couldn't get it right. I don't need any extra degrees. Today we're supposed to be in the 90's with 100% humidity. That's going to be too hot for me.

Despite all the millions in $$$$ and ££££ the met office are given rarely can we rely on the professional weather forecasters. You are the best judge of the weather just by sticking your head out of the door if its blue skies and sun it's likely to be warm if its grey and miserable then take a rain mac with you!

Temps can change unexpectedly. But it's funny if all the stations that say they give the most accurate forecasts get things like temperatures wrong. Being off by like 20 degrees is crazy.
