My alphabet series usually focuses on lettered songs about and inspired by women. This one using the letter T does on 2 selections . The other one could be a girl's first name, but the lyrics are about something unrelated to women. And as an added bonus I did find "Tammy Tell Me True," sung by Donna Douglas of Beverley Hillbillies fame so, will use that one for our feature video. Apparantly the movie was successful, the song.... not so sure???? Enjoy the listen.... Ok, time to get serious! Here are your trivia clues: 1. This is a song about leaving a girl behind. A sad tune off the Southern band's very first album. The group was discovered by Al Kooper who adds Mellotron string sounds to the tune. This song was also covered by the band Metallica. The tune appears in a number of films, including Happy Gilmore and Dazed and Confused. The band members were from Jacksonville, Florida. The groups original lineup lost some members in a horrific plane accident in 1977. Trying to replace their bandmates was not such a simple matter, and some of the surviving members stated that the band was finished. 2. This song was written by the band's lead guitarist after smoking one of those funny cigarettes out in a field. The song uses a mellotron. The group was the first high profile band to use one in concert. The song was part of a concept album released in 1967, and featured a symphony orchestra backing the band. These British artists were inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. 3. Here is another successful 60's British band who released this # 1 U.S. hit in 1967. Part of the title for this song may have been inspired by the day it was written. One story has it the ballad was written about a groupie. A free spirit whose love was hard to hang on to. Another story has it being inspired by a former girlfriend of the band's lead guitarist. According to him, the song grew out of that breakup. These Rock n' Roll giants are still going strong. They are the highest earning rock band in history. Their concerts have grossed over $750 million. Do you know the names of these songs and artists? If your successful you will find something similar in all of the titles. Good luck and use those clues! If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. Glad to throw a few more hints your way and aid "your search of that lost chord" or in this case tune. Enjoy the continuing series, comment, check out the trivia answers and see if their your favorites too. And as always, thanks for reading my music post!!! Nope, those are correct. #2 off the Days of Future Passed Album. On the album, this was listed as "Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?)" at the insistence of producer Tony Clarke. Well done The actress Ms. Weld would enjoy those answers, lol.

All of the song titles use the same day of the week as a girl's name. #2 This song talks about a time of day, the best time to get sunburned, lol. #1 These Southern Rockers had another successful song called "Sweet Home Alabama." The title reflects on a breakup, sending her away. Or another way of saying having someone absent from you life. (Difficult song here)….
