“Igorota” is named to women who came from the mountains. In the past, they just simply have their indigenous items of clothing, beads, and tattoos covered on their bodies. The tattoos were made on their bodies as the symbol of being married to leaders in their tribes.
The photo was taken on the 15th of June. It is situated at the side of the stairs going to the local post office of Baguio City, Philippines.

there is a wooden carving of an 'anito' hanging on the wall here in our house. but then, we felt some eerie things so my big brother brought back the carvings to his house in UK.
i recall too, we had the small ragdolls of Igorot and Igorota. also those very big spoon and fork. but no paintings here, kabsat.
there are some patients and relatives here who are from the highlands. we know because the older women have big beads of necklaces hanging in their necks.

Did you know that beads are quite expensive? When I was in Kalinga, the local tribes claimed to be special stones used in making these beads as the necklaces for the local women tribes.
We have those items you had mentioned before. Now, I don't where are they. Except for the big spoon and fork.

@Shavkat yes, and i think the number of necklaces of the older women signify how rich they are in their place. that is why when there are many beads of necklace in a significant other of a patient here, the nurses do not show animosity to them, because aside from the riches, they are thinking of the 'kulam'.

@ridingbet That's also our notion about it. When I was in college, we went to an old Igorot woman cast a spell who stole the money of my classmate

A classic one. I don't have talent for painting or even in drawing. When I've tried to draw a dog, my daughter said "No Daddy, it's looks like a Cow. lol.

Yes that's one of my dream when I have my own house already. I want my bedroom wall to be painted with faces of my love ones.

@cttolledo You said it right. I hope it would materialize in the future. Dreaming is free and we need to enjoy it.
