I worked in customer service for awhile and while the majority of customers were reasonable, you can guarantee that there is that one customer who is rude and says the nastiest things that brings you down. It also happens on social media and it just takes one negative comment to make a person wonder what just happened?. And I am sure we have all got that one comment on our post that left us with a bitter taste in our mouth for the rest of the day. It only takes one but I always remind myself that the majority of people I meet, talk to, are nothing like that one person who spoiled my day – or tried to. How do you deal with that one negative in your day?

@Freelanzer yes, you should. If you will be affected by this, it can ruin your whole day and work

I try to focus on the kind people I encounter even though the negative ones do get under your skin.

Not so easy I found when working in customer service as you have to deal with them but in other areas I do choose to ignore.

I just ignore these people as much as possible. I cannot afford to spoil my day with only one person.

@Freelanzer I hope they will stop if being ignored. If not, then I need to fight back.

Difficult to ignore when you have a difficult customer on the line and you have to deal with him but in other areas, yes, it is best to ignore.

I used to work customer service also and know all about rude customers. Fortunately, I worked in a call centre setting and could put them on mute if need be. Some people are just naturally rude and bitter. I have gotten to a point in my own growth that when someone throws a negative bomb my way, it bounces off of me and hurls back toward them.

I'm so sorry those kinds of people are allowed to annoy others but as for me I do my best to simply ignore the rude bozos because I'd rather spend my time trying to make people laugh

I ignore them, if you come back at them it just gives them more fuel to make you feel worse. Sometimes I tell them I feel sorry for them because they feel the need to knock others down which tells me they are nothing more than a bully.

Though I may be put off for a while, I soon collect myself with a take it is their problem, not mine. I don't allow others to make me unhappy. At the same time, I analyze what had happened to make sure there is no fault on my side - siva

Don't let it bother you. I've worked in customer service and some people can be very difficult and nasty. We can only do our best, and for some that is not good enough. As far as My Lot, most people here are great, a few think they are know it all's who like to criticize, condemn or complain. Remember this quote when that happens...
