What is a good way of giving apples to infants?

My little one is 9 months old and we want to start including more fruits in her diet.
What is the best way to give apples for her? Peeled or unpeeled? Boiled or steamed or raw? Mashed or minced?
I want her to enjoy it and also have a happy tummy

Apples should be soft cooked (baked or stewed) and at first, at least, mixed with custard, yoghurt or similar.
