My cat is nuts

Bad Sandy was all over the kitchen and in my way when I was working on the coconut custard for my pie. He tried to jump into the cabinets when I opened them. Every time I turned around, he was laying on top of the cookbook that I was trying to read. It was obnoxious. Now that I am sitting down at the table with a few minutes of free time, he is nowhere to be found.

It is in Bravetart. It was brown sugar, white sugar, corn starch, 8 egg yolks, and coconut milk. Then you add shredded coconut and vanilla off the heat after it is cooked. Simple to do.

May I ask? How do you keep cat hair out of the food if he is on the counter where you are cooking?

He was on the island in the center of the kitchen. I was working on the counter between the stove and the sink. He is NOT allowed on that counter.
