This is a picture of my "new" Ford Explorer. Yeah, it's not "NEW", but it's new to me!! Anyway, it's AW Drive and my hubby wanted me to see if I could get stuck and get out!! Our Jeep Grand Cherokee has 4 wheel drive and you have to shift it into gear. The Explorer you don't have any "shifters." So, on the hubby's day off we decided to go to the lake that he works at and do some 4 wheelin' to see if I could get it stuck. My hubby's boss was on duty, so if I got it stuck he could pull us out!! Apparently sand can get a person stuck if you're not in 4 wheel!! Well, I never got stuck!! The "ALL WHEEL" Drive works good!!! My hubby and his boss were impressed because even some one like me that doesn't drive or use 4 wheel drive can get in and out of some places that you would definitely need 4 wheel drive! So, now we don't know if the "AW" stands for "ALL WHEEL" or "ALWAYS " in wheel drive!!! I was bottoming out in the sand and it kept right on going... you can kind of see how sandy it was!! ~Peace~
