Anger

How do you process your anger? Are you the type who quickly acts on it, or are you the type who walks away and takes a breather before addressing it? This afternoon, my friends and I decided to watch the town's parade. I was late to the party because I have to address some calls from work on some issues. When I got there, looks like some friends had some heated exchange of words. From what I understand, someone made a comment to another that she thought she gained some weight. I am not sure how it was said or the manner it was said, but the person to whom that comment was addressed to just started to attack the person by saying that she would rather be fat than be ugly like her. And to think these are grown women talking, like women much, much older than my early 30's age. Then it escalated and past events were even brought up. We did not know that these two are quick and hot tempered, but there could have been some underlying reasons for the flare ups. I hope they reconcile soon, it is not a good feeling to harbor anger against someone.

Well, some people can't help themselves. I rather walk away. Anger sometimes makes me weak because of andrenalin.

Hi Raine. We get mad if children are not in good terms with each other, yet “matured” people do not know how to handle the situation.

Haha, That reminds me of a dream I just had a couple nights ago. I dreamed that someone called me FAT, and I told them I’d rather be FAT than RUDE. It’s not good to stay mad at people. The Bible even says not to let the sun set while you are angry, meaning to settle differences before the day ends. Staying angry can cause all kinds of health problems like high blood pressure.

As much as possible, I would rather pull out myself from that particular situation. if the attack appeared to be insulting and embarrassed me in front of a lot of people. There will be an instant confrontation right there and then.
