A Day At Home

Today felt good, not getting in the car at all, not looking at the clock or schedule. Just a day at home. I skipped outside work, no berry picking either. So? What did I do? I did light cleaning. A thunderstorm came so I took that time to take a nap. This was a good day! How was your day? What did you do?

I worked outside a lot. I have not been able to all week. It felt good. I am moving some storage options around. I planted some of my herbs. Went for a drive with hubby. Had a lousy meal at McD.

It can be nice not to have to go anywhere. Yesterday, we had a birthday party for my daughter.

How nice is that! I'm glad that you took it easy on yourself. We spent Saturday at our son's place, my husband and son cut down about 5 or 6 trees. It was a very hot and humid day, but they worked away. Our son and his wife are leaving on a holiday in a few weeks, so they have a limited number of weekends remaining that they can get the outdoor yardwork done this summer.

@andriaperry The people that lived in this home until early March, lived there for 10 years and had mobility issues, so very little, if anything besides cutting the grass was done. Our son will clear out all of the overgrowth and then rototill the yard and seed it in the fall so that next spring he'll have a beautiful green lawn.

Having a big yard is a lot of work, especially a wild one.

@Juliaacv For years I hired my sister to do the old home place mowing because she needed the money and I was not loaning, she worked for it, but she never did cut one bush back, ever. about 2 years ago I hired this homeless man to cut them down and he did a good job, I did it this year. I mean of you are not on this it will be consumed by bushes and you will have no yard. I do understand.

That does sound like a good day. Very light for you. Thunderstorms are the perfect time to take a nap. My day - here, watched some TV - binged on Hulu, and worked on Thread of Evidence. I have it back from my friend, so time to start in on it again.

Your day sounds wonderful. We had running and it was hot and muggy. But I did get baby ducks.

@andriaperry I am thinking of trying these. They are muscovy and from what I read are supposed to taste more like beef and not greasy like other ducks.

Nice! I did too much. I played tennis after my morning walk, and golf in the mid afternoon. Then we went out to dinner with 3 other couples. I slept like a baby!
