Happy Father's Day to All the Fathers Out There

This is your day guys, not that we don't pamper you every day of the year but today you are the undisputed king. We are taking my hubs out to brunch at Firebox in Hartford. I am not sure if they have steak and eggs but if they do, hubs should order it.
When we get back home I am going to pack a bag and we are heading to Vermont for two days to visit my brother and his wife. Hubs was going to go fishing today with the grandkids and our oldest son but they actually went yesterday so we have time to squeeze this short visit to my brother.
We don't have water exercise this coming week and Jack graduates from kindergarten on Wednesday so we have to drive back on Tuesday. It is a 3-hour drive so not too bad and we have made it many times over the years.
At this time of year, hubs doesn't like to be away from the pool for more than a couple of days or it goes all green etc. But all of this hinges on Brandon being able to come over and babysit the dogs so I have to clear that with my daughter.
Anyway, I need to get ready for church so again Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there.

Yes he is my youngest grandchild so this is my last kindergarten graduation!! A sad moment.

I hope your trip to Vermont was great. I spent a year in Vermont in College, I changed my colleges a lot but loved every new place I lived in. It was my young person wanting to see the states.... If I ever came back to the states I think Vermont ( in the mountains) is where I would go...

My brother lives in Rutland so that is the area I know the best but it is just too cold in the winter for me burrr lol

@BelleStarr My Sister in law (Vermont) lives right north of where my husband grew up in Mass, so I make sure after camping in July to visit her and she always has a new thing to discover. I don't think I would like it anymore in the winter but during the summer it is fantastic.

We bought the hubs a weed wacker yesterday. Best gift ever! Went strawberry picking and he picked 3 quarts to our two.
Going fishing today if we can find a good spot. Maybe I'll break out a venison steak for dinner.

That's a sweet post, and I extend my warm wishes for the Happiest of Father's Day to all of our myLot Daddies here.
Our son and the hubs will t-off at 8:45 and due to the weather (43C here today) they will only play 9 holes and then come back here for brunch.
Ellie, our granddog, and I are listening to some easy rock on youtube while I myLot.
No complaints here......life is good.
