I've been trying for weeks to get a shot of a baby deer and I finally saw one, didn't get the best shot. but there is still hope, @mlgen1037 here is the baby picture I promised.
Next goal is a predator. Beer, coyote, bobcat.. or even a fox would be cool.

@infatuatedbby There is nothing to be scared of - not from deer... not really.. they are more afraid of you.. and almost always run.. you can't get too close... if you have a momma deer coming towards you stomping feet.. then I might walk away.. lol

I know.. I am terrified but really want to see them at the same time.. there was a bear traipsing through town all day last week on the 15th and I missed it!! i literally could have caught him on the street!

@ridingbet yes, Momma is very wary of people when they have their babies around. so they ran away.

@minx267 oh, so they ran away. good thing they didn't approach you if they felt you intimidated them.

If that leaf was not there but its a great shot of mom looking at you. I am sure you will start seeing them more now.

I was about 100 feet away.. maybe a little more.. I noticed the mother through the trees..stock still and looking at me... and then I picked up my camera to take a picture..and with the zoom.. that is when I noticed the baby standing behind her... my first shots were blurry. OF course that is when the baby was looking at me too... then i got two more shots and then they fled!
