Father's Day & Anne's Birthday all at once

My daughter drove down from Portland yesterday to celebrate both occasions. She brought the Chihuahua along to visit her dog father, of course.
We went out to dinner last night at what used to be a really good Indian restaurant. They had to relocate a while back and now the food and service is not as good as it was in the old place.
So, today being the day it is, we went to breakfast at a good Shari's not far from the house and had a great meal. My daughter treated too. W barely beat the crowd, only had to wait a few minutes. By the time we left, around 10 AM, there were 20 people waiting.
Now, at noon, it is over 80 degrees F (26C) and headed up, so we will spend the afternoon being cool. My daughter will drive home a bit later.

@ScribbledAdNauseum No, I refer to myself as Dog Father (like Grandfather). I never thought I would like those yappy little dogs, but she is great.

She left almost two hours ago, but called me to say traffic was at a standstill about 40 miles up I-5. I checked and there was a wreck ahead of her up there. They got moving again finally. It is about 90 here today, so sitting still was no fun for her and the Chihuahua.
It is normally a two hour drive from here to Portland.

It was Evergreen, fomerly across from the U of O and quite good, but the changes have not been good. There is a new one called Royal India that is great.
