I received the Margaritaville cookbook today

My mother's best friend bought it for me when she heard about it. I'm a HUGE Jimmy Buffett fan so she knew it would be right up my alley. She wanted to surprise me with it but eventually had to text me and tell me that she had gotten it for me when she saw me post about how much I loved it on Facebook. I had borrowed it from the library because I wasn't sure if it was going to be any good, but to my surprise it is really a great book. Anyway, my mom gave it to me today when we were all at my sister's house. My dad then decided to flip through it and now HE wants to get a copy of it. It really is a surprisingly good cookbook.

I have a shelf full of cook books. But now I mostly use the web to read recipes. I´m glad that you liked yours.

@marguicha That is a better idea than trusting what most online recipes say.

I have 3 shelves loaded with them. I love cookbooks and use mine all the time. I don't trust most online recipes.

I wouldn't say it is my "dream book" but it is a very good one and one that I am happy to add to my cookbook library. I have about 75 books now. I recently got rid of a dozen or more.

I have a stack of cookbooks, most of them were gifts from people who loved me.

@kobesbuddy My mother gave me one for our 1st wedding anniversary called "The Mexican Cookbook". It was my 1st cookbook for that cuisine but it really isn't that great and I have several much better ones now. That being said, I keep it for sentimental reasons. My husband and I were married on a beach in Mexico and that's why she gave it to us as an anniversary gift.

I have a few that I keep for sentimental reasons. . . but they aren't in the kitchen. I don't have enough room for all of them.

How to cook Margaritaville style: 1. Get drunk. 2. Search for salt shaker. 3. Order pizza.

That's one way to do it! There was a running joke in the "Escape to Margaritaville" musical where a drunk guy was searching for his salt shaker. It was hysterical.
