Diary Friday 15th June 2018 To Sunday 17th June 2018 Three days of very little out of the ordinary. Doing laundry, job searching, reading and watching TV, blinking a few times, and not much more. It was a pleasant enough weekend but nothing much to write about. Diary Monday 18th June 2018 Actual activity today, going out in the fresh air and everything. I actually went to the university for the first of three days of voluntary work activity. Today it was a brief course with tips for presenting to social work students. The rest of the week should get busier. I got very upset by seeing some of the online footage of the detention camps the Trump administration is running where children of refugees are coldly separated from their parents and kept in cages while bogusly blaming the abductions on the Democrats. This is straight out of the days of the Reich. I saw a post on the issue by Michael Cohen and lambasted him, only to then notice that this Michael Cohen was an honest reporter, not Trump's Fixer. Oops. I quickly retracted my angry post and sent him an apology. I feel so dumb. Youtube - The Hollies - The Air That I Breathe Arthur Chappell

@Daelii yes, his stance appeals to the extreme right which is dangerously powerful in the US

@arthurchappell they were easy and majorly apparent before the election. Its because of the racist stance he got the type of supporters he did

I cannot see how anyone can feel anything other than shame in regards to the situation with the children.

I have also seen the online footage of the Trump "detention camps". This brings back very sad memories of the past, many years ago in Germany everything started more or less like this.

@LadyDuck the evidence is often audio recordings but more material is coming out as pressure to end this regime intensifies
Don’t worry about all the dark, evil sh*t your government is doing. Here, have an Orwellian catchphrase to take your mind off things! Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasp...

@arthurchappell Have you seen the videos of kids separated from their parents and placed in cages? How can the world allow him to do this?

It's insane enough to impeach Trump. Thanks for liking my tweet.

@KristenH you are welcome - the sooner Trump is impeached or arrested the better

I haven't seen any of the footage yet. It seems that the Dystopian future of fiction is FAST becoming a reality.

I'm so angry about this too! I just don't understand why kids are separated from their family. Its not a child's choice to be here in those circumstances. Keep families together and treat them respectfully. Why do serial killers, rapists etc get cable tv, three hot meals, beds, etc... And we can't treat a human being or family with common decency????
