I was wondering, do you guys pick up coins that you see on the street? Until recently I wasn't paying attention to lost change, but now I'm picking it up for fun. And it's amazing where you can find coins . Started this 2 months ago, I keep the coins in a big jar. I'm curious how many I will find by the end of the year. So, anyone else?

@TheHorse I don't know, guess it depends on how much I want to spend. Definitely, I'm not gonna get rich . But as I was saying, I do it for fun. If it adds up, I'll buy something for my wife. I usually have a secret fund and when it gets big I buy her gifts. Don't think lost change will do the trick, though . Ok, long story short, if it adds up, I will let you know what I will buy with it .

Well, I decided to pick up every coin I see and it's within my reach . But I do have some rules that I stick to. Anyway, one more month and I'll take a picture of my coins. I live in a small town from a small country so the value is low. But it's fun and I enjoy it

The Philippine. 25,. 10 and. 05 centavos have very low values so people ignore them, I collect them and use them to pay the centavo portions of my bills instead of using my whole 1 peso coins

@Strawberry18 I have one box of those coins and I scotch tape them, 1 peso per roll for easy disposal

@DianneN I do too, he he . If things go wrong, people usually blame others or destiny, but if they do this, they're stuck, they can't go forward. That's why I build my own luck, maybe I succeed, maybe I don't, but in the end I'll have a smile on my face .

Yup! Here it has just a small value, the most valuable coin is 50 BANI (~12,5 US cents) and they are hard to find. But I usually find 3 or 4 coins/day of smaller values. Today I've got a 50 BANI coin and a 5 BANI. Just by casual walking. I think that I could find lots more if I was indeed searching for them . Anyway, at this rate I could probably get around 20$/year. Not much, but it's something that I do for fun

@saritflor, thank you! Found 3 today, just by casual walking in a small area. Who knows how many I can find if I go searching for real... I just pick what I see at the moment. It'a fun hobby .

Well, it' harder these days because of online paying, credit cards and so on. But it's still there . Millions and millions of dollars and other currencies of course. And it seems my eyes are trained now, I can spot coins from a distance . Trust me, they are put there
