This book is about mayor Bascomb’s wife who drops by Hannah’s place to place a order for eleven hundred cookies for a charity event. Lisa Hannah’s business partner suggest setting up a Apple turnover stand and Hannah places that in Lisa’s hands. Hannah agrees to be a magicians assistant in the fundraisers talent show. The only snag is the shows host , college professor Bradford Ramsey Hannah and her sister Michelle each had unfortunate romances with Ramsey, and when the cad comes sniffing around between acts, Hannah tells him off but when the curtain doesn’t go up.
