Anybody have any ideas for a great summer pie?

I was excited to get my invitation to the summer 4th of July cookout that our group has. I hope it isn't raining, but even if it is, there is enough cover there it should be OK. They have a pie baking contest..and last year I discovered vinegar pie...that was pretty awesome. I was thinking perhaps I would enter this year..Any pie suggestions?

Vinegar Pie?
Uhm.. Well I was going to suggest something that isn't a pie.. I mean, well.. One layer is crushed pretezels and you could call it a pie but it wouldn't get you any awards. My suggestion was strawberry pretzel salad.
Anyway..
Keylime Pie
Lemon Meringue Pie
Rhubarb Pie
You could take something like strawberry shortcake but make it more of a pie. Or banana pudding, but make it into a pie type.

All good! yeah vinegar pie is an old fashioned recipe but it tastes delish actually!

@ScribbledAdNauseum They are..but the ones I know of have ice cream in them..not sure how well they would do on a hot day.

There are many great summer pies, Sweet Cherry Pie, Strawberry or Blueberry Pie, Coconut Banana Pie. As it is a pie for the 4th of July, may be you should try to use the 3 colors of your flag, a lemon cream pie, with strawberries on the edge, then blueberries and whipped cream in the center.

@Tampa_girl7 It's not sour at all...there is sugar in it. Look at a couple of recipies. You will see.
