Our (current) President has no heart and I am think that he is demented as well. This cruelty of separating families is un-American and shameful. I am embarrassed at such behavior by our government.

@porwest That is the party line, but no one really believes it. It was a ploy and then Trump crumpled when even evangelicals were calling him on his Third Reich tactic.

President Trump has nothing to do with the law he is enforcing. This law has been in place since 1997 and was implemented by Bill Clinton. I really wish people could get the facts instead of just making accusations. Not mad at you. But I can't simply let you say that and not say something about it.

Sad thing is new poll out say most Republicans approve of what the administration is doing. We might as well just scrap the Statue of Liberty for copper money because we clearly do not believe in any of that stuff anymore as a country.

This is very sad. I think many countries have refugees who are not in wonderful conditions. This is a world problem. I am not defending what they are doing at the border, but this problem of how refugees are treated is a big one.

The fact is that nothing has changed. This has been the law since 1997. But the liberal media will not tell you that. What is being missed from this discussion is that MOST of these kids are not even WITH their parents when they cross illegally. They are sent alone. What's worse, they are abused and raped along the way. When you have parents sending their kids alone with coyotes, and they are 12 years old and have Plan B pills on their person, the parents KNOW those kids will be raped, and it's just part of the process. The villains are the ones who send these kids here. The villains are the parents who have every intention to break the law. We cannot have a country if we do not have borders, and if we really care about these kids, the BEST thing that can happen is that be detained and removed from the hands of these barbarians who will do those kids way more harm than anything we might do, including detaining them or sending them back. People are simply not paying attention and paying too much attention to the liberal media which is lying to you about the reality of the situation.

@LeaPea2417 Unfortunately many people do not want to hear it. Even if they do hear it, they don't want to believe it.

I am not surprised at all , he is always talking about Mexicans. I think this is a way of his to promote the building of the wall.

It is worrying that anybody could think this is an okay situation in any country on earth, but for it to be happening in the US is beyond belief, and sadly, the whole world is watching you now.

Where were your complaints when President Obama was doing this very same thing during his administration? President Trump is enforcing the same law that's been in effect for years now, that's all.
