It is now 11:18PM from this side of the world and I am going to bed after watching movies in the community channel. I am about to kiss my son goodnight but he is in the kitchen preparing himself a glass of milk. It has been his practice to drink milk before his bedtime. The big bull frog in the garden is once again croaking so loud,it sounds like an engine car that has difficulty getting started. It rained heavily this afternoon that is why, and the frog is rejoicing. Once my son finishes his milk, it will be his bedtime. What is the temperature of your milk if you drink a glass before your bedtime? My son prefers it cold.

Sorry I don't have milk as I think I have Lactose Intolerance which is quite common in adult people! Nice to know that you are waiting for giving a goodnight kiss to your loving son! God bless you all! Thanks!

@AKRao24 when we are outside the church, i also plant a kiss on any of his cheeks. but i have to ask permission from him because it really looks awkward when i pull him and kiss him. he might walk away from me

i read your comment on my phone last night but it is only now that i respond. warm milk, i think, helps induce sleep, but cold milk does too according to some. hope you had a sound sleep.

That's good that even if he is already a grown up, he still drinks milk. When we were still young, we like drinking milk. However, when I became older and have tasted good coffee, I prefer it over milk already. But I used to like warm milk before bedtime when we were still small.

@ridingbet Our mother too used to give us Sarsaparilla with scrambled raw egg. But I don't like to drink it now anymore. The taste is not good.

me too kabsat. sorry for the late reply. i have that intolerance but why don't you try drinking milk in small amounts, like maybe half a cup? that way, your stomach will get user to it. (as if 'naman' you are not a health care provider). hahaha

I used to drink milk but not anymore. I like it cold or at room temperature. I never liked it hot or warm. I also don't add sugar. I have LBM after drinking a glass of milk that's why I seldom drink it now. =)

good morning hija. how much is a can of that? is it costly? i hope you can sustain drinking a glass. it might help you if the milk has low or reduced sodium, potassium and other electrolytes. also you may have the calories you need for your body, since these can be depleted when you are on dialysis regimen.

yes, i think drinking a very cold milk may reduce the possibility of feeling nauseous and it is also good because it is protein. i would prefer lukewarm milk if i want to drink prior to bed.

that is great. milk helps in inducing sleep because it has tryptophan and melatonin.

do you drink your milk before your bedtime? my son drinks cold milk when he cooks spicy noodles. he says the milk should 'counteract' the spiciness of the noodles.

really? i also hear some frogs sounding like a big bull calling for a mate. when it is raining, we expect a chorale of singing frogs around.
