"deep breathly, deep breathly" is one mistake as told by a physical education instructor during my high school years.
i believe DBE and CE ( deep breathing exercises and coughing exercises) do help in lung expansion.
having hyperpnea or rapid breathing may be a manifestation of an impending increase in blood pressure.

I do my pranayam regularly and can vouch that breathing exercise helps a lot to relieve your stress and calm you down. It definitely regulates your blood pressure.

Most definitely. I have high blood pressure and get fluctuations quite a bit. I am also on oxygen so I tend to breathe shallowly sometimes. Deep breathing exercises and just paying attention to breathing helps calm me and drops my blood pressure.
I can't do heavy exercise so light exercise it is for me

Yes you are correct, breathing exercise will calm down the mind and regulate blood pressure in body. i am telling this as I am participating in half-marathon and for preparation I was working on breathing exercise. But, after my run I stopped that.I need to start again

Breathing exercises keep the internal system for by supplying enough oxygen to every organ and getting back carbon dioxide...

Breathing excercises definitely helps us in calming down and it is also a tension releaser. We should do breathing exercise everday atleast for 20 mins. I prefer light excercises.
