It can help release the tension from within if having some proper breathing exercises. Purse lip breathing is better when doing some exercises.

"deep breathly, deep breathly" is one mistake as told by a physical education instructor during my high school years. i believe DBE and CE ( deep breathing exercises and coughing exercises) do help in lung expansion. having hyperpnea or rapid breathing may be a manifestation of an impending increase in blood pressure.

Most definitely. I have high blood pressure and get fluctuations quite a bit. I am also on oxygen so I tend to breathe shallowly sometimes. Deep breathing exercises and just paying attention to breathing helps calm me and drops my blood pressure. I can't do heavy exercise so light exercise it is for me
