This is an interesting and the words are not very difficult. I think it may be helpful for my son to memorize more English words. At least I don't feel bored to read it

I think he can also learn how to pronounce the words. Memorizing the words are good, too.

This is good for remembering words. You can also let your son watch more original foreign movies, especially cartoons, with double subtitles. It is good for English study and it will be very interesting.

Thanks for your advice. In fact he already started to learn English when he was little. As you know, today many Chinese children even learn them when they are in kindergarten.

The best system to learn a language is though a book with a video, because you have to memorize the phrase, but also learn how to pronounce it.

I am teaching my grand children French. Surprisingly they are picking it up quite well. I would continue to do that but make it interesting and have fun, Children are like sponges and absorb everything they see, hear, smell and touch.

That's so cool! I learned a little French in the past but I found it much more difficult than English. It is great you teach your grand children as they can learn it easily.

One good role model for your child to learn how to read is the PBS Kids series "Wordgirl" which is a parody of Superman and Batman.
