I am very sad right now. As, Just now I got to know that my mother is diagnosed with Gallbladder stone of size 6 mm. The doctor told my parents that there is no medicine for such type of stones. Only way is to remove the gallbladder with surgery. I am very worried after hearing this. I went through online and I saw some videos where they had mentioned that there is a medicine in Homeopathy which will clear stone from Gallbladder also. Do you know about the remedy about Gallbladder stones? or so you know about such homeopathy medicines.

There is no way to remove stones homeopathically. Surgery is the only way. I would advise just having the thing removed. I did 8 years ago and it was the best thing for me.

But, my mother is having stone in gallbladder, Dr told to have surgery and remove gallbladder from the body. That's why I am scared as it is not like kidney stones. You got kidney stone or gallbladder stone 8 years back.

@saurabhrmp I tried all sorts of natural remedies to try to get rid of my gallstones. I wound up almost dying. Nothing worked. Anyone who tells you that it does is lying. That’s why I am telling you that she should just have the gallbladder removed if the stone is causing her problems. But by all means, ignore me and pretend that I don’t know what I’m talking about.

@saurabhrmp I think she did try to drink medicine, it might be able to help remove the stones, but it did not work. Her only option was surgery.

Dear friend, there is really nothing you can do in case of gall bladder stone except for the removal of gall bladder by surgery. Yes, the lifestyle should be changed after the Surgery which is not a big issue. I have seen many people living comfortably after the surgery! Thanks!

@saurabhrmp , that varies from individual to individual. Your doctor will recommend the surgery only upon getting fitness certificate from the physician. My mother under went her incisional hernia surgery when she was 65 very successfully. Now a days with advancement of technology in medical field things have gone very sophisticated and easy, so I feel there is no problem to go in for surgery! Had I been in your place I would have gone in for it!

Passing them without surgery is very painful. Some people describe it like giving birth. So it's possible having surgery to remove it would be less painful. I understand your concern though.

@saurabhrmp My sister and mother had their gallbladder removed. It went very well. My sister threw up a couple of days, but that is because she didn't listen to the doctors when they told her to eat bland foods for awhile. My mom did what she was supposed to do, and she was okay. It's a lot of resting in recovery.

@AmbiePam ; hmm my mother is 67 year old and that will create more complications and need more rest in recovery. And I can't see my mother in that pain.

The problem is that surgery for gallbladder stone will be different then kidney stone. In this surgery they will cut gallbladder and take it out completely.

Usually stones go out with the urine. But if they are too big, the best is surgery. Maybe a laser surgery will be enough.

I had gallbladder surgery (laparascopy) more than 20 years ago. It is nothing to worry about. I certainly would not take the advice of a homeopathy doctor on this.

Dear friend, don't worry too much. You'd better consult a few hospitals. Six millimeters of gallstone need not be removed from the gallbladder. At least that's what I just checked. Don't rush into surgery unless several hospitals have the same opinion.

He stayed in hospital for 7 days.He is back to work now, very kicking and alive. Please follow the doctor's advise so your mom won't summer the pain.

@saurabhrmp , aw, okay, your mom is so lucky. The single stone might be removed though its own through urination. Let us be hopeful. You are right, her age might put her to risk should she be operated.

@cacay1 , stone in gallbladder is very difficult to come out via urine as it is different from kidney stone, as that is easily comeout via urine

My mother age is 67 and I am worried because of her age only. She might take longer time for recovery. Anyhow mother has only one stone of 6mm size, that's why I am not in hurry.

Dont worry too much about it. Does your mother have symptoms from her stone? A lot of people live with their gallstones and never get a problems from them. 6mm is big enough to stay in the gallbladder and not slip through. If the gallstone slips into the duct than it can cause an inflammation of the gallbladder, which can be quite painful. Removal of the gallbladder usually solves the problem and nowadays is done laparoscopically without big cuts. Yes, you would need a general anaesthetic to do so and yes, there is a potential of complications but it is one of the most performed surgeries and has a very high success rate. IN my country people go home after about 24 hrs post their surgery. So dont despair, she might be okay lfor years to come and if she needs surgery it is not a complicated one

Yeah, even I heard surgery becomes very normal in our country also. But, removing one part from the body will create the problem in future.Like she has to take care of diet very carefully as she can not take any fatty food, as to digest that gallbladder is not present in the body. There will be many digestion related problem..

@mattis07, hmm one of my aunt who is around 56 year of age also remove gallbladder and now she is not able to any oily food
22 Jun 18
@saurabhrmp dont worry too much about that either. Yes, the recommendation is to give the body a few weeks to adjust by not eating too fatty, but the body does learn to deal with fats again, just have to give it some time. Millions of people live without their gallbladder and eat a very normal diet.

I my mother-in-law has had several gallbladder stones, and she had surgery. I have no experience with other kinds of treatment. Without surgery your mother's gallstone could get stuck and this is very painful. I think that is the best to get surgery as fast as possible. If she tries homoppathy first and it doesn't work she could get gallstone pain. What does your mother say about the situation?

My mother doesn't know about the remedy about this. But at this stage she is anyhow scared of surgery. Last year she had surgery for Kidney stone and she recovered from that pain. Now, this problem came.
